Officer Terry Burrows is spearheading the creation of a K-9 program for the Ontwa Township Edwardsburg Police Department. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, OTEPD K-9 INC. is seeking support to establish and sustain this vital unit, enhancing community safety and police capabilities.
Our K-9 program goals
The K-9 program aims to provide critical support to the Ontwa Township Edwardsburg Police Department. Our goals include enhancing law enforcement efforts, increasing community safety, and building stronger relationships between police and residents through specialized K-9 units.
Narcotics detection
Our K-9 units will be trained to detect illegal substances, helping to combat drug-related crime in our community.
Tracking & search
K-9s will assist in tracking suspects, finding missing persons, and conducting critical search operations.
Patrol & apprehension
The K-9 unit will support road patrol duties and aid in the safe apprehension of dangerous individuals.
